Sustainable seafood on the ave

The much anticipated arrival of Delray’s latest restaurant, Lionfish, was certainly worth the wait. When Lionfish Delray Beach officially opened their doors to the public on September 21, 2020, the city instantly gained a star. One step inside and you’ll be swept away by the oozing ambiance. The interiors are impeccable; balancing just the right amount of coastal and eclectic décor in a sophisticated, yet casual setting.

With “Modern Coastal Cuisine” as their tag line, it comes as no surprise that the Lionfish menu consists of a considerable selection of sustainably caught seafood. Raw options are abundant, and include everything from small plates, such as Yellowfin Tuna Tiradito, to a daily selection of East Coast oysters, sushi/sashimi, and specialty rolls. The menu goes on to feature a “Fresh Catch” section, with choices like “Pan Seared New Bedford Scallops” and “Whole Steamed Florida Pompano”. For those diners looking for something other than seafood, there is an “Entrée” section, offering a selection of grass-fed meat options such as “Grilled Lamb Chops” and “The Ultimate Burger”. Save room for desert, because you won’t want to miss the “Key Lime Pie Bombe”.
