Explore the Outdoors

It’s usually a good day to get outdoors in Delray. Our climate is beautiful year round and incorporating the outdoors is an essential aspect of the lifestyle here. Aside from relaxing on our beautiful Municipal Beach, there are endless options when it comes to exploring the outdoors in Delray.

The first of our favorites involves cruising along the calm waters of the Intracoastal Waterway on board a beautiful 105 foot yacht. Escape for the day with Delray Yacht Cruises, anchored just off Atlantic Avenue, adjacent to Veterans Park. After you board either of the two yachts in their fleet, The Lady Atlantic or Lady Delray, grab a snack and head to the top deck. Here, sit back and unwind during the two hour narrated tour, all while getting a glimpse of the most gorgeous homes in Delray. As the sun sets, you won’t find a better spot to be sipping on your favorite cocktail and enjoying a nibble.

Spend your Saturday morning perusing the stalls of more than 65 vendors at the Green Market located in Old School Square Park. Find everything you’ll need for your farm to fork meal, including grass-fed Florida beef, farm fresh eggs, just picked produce and so much more. They offer vegan, sugar free and gluten free products to please even the pickiest of eaters. Since 1996, the Green Market has been one of the most popular events of the “season” in Delray Beach.

If you’re looking for art and culture, head over to Morikami Museum and Japanese Gardens, located just a few minutes west of Downtown Delray. Begin by exploring the main museum building, featuring three exhibition galleries, a 225 seat theater, an authentic tea house and a gift shop. Once finished inside, be sure to stop by the open-air Cornell Cafe on the lakeside terraces for a bite to eat. Enjoy expansive views of the tranquil Japanese gardens while dining on Pan-Asian fare. When finished with your food, walk it off while exploring the 16 acres Japanese Gardens surrounding the two main museum buildings. Discover world class bonsai and koi filled lakes as you stroll along the garden paths. Considered one of Palm Beach County’s most treasured attractions, you won’t want to miss this one.
